It’s time for another fun carnival with the great bloggers from MomDot!
The theme this time around is 5 things you can’t live without…I’m fairly certain I could live without these five things, but having them in my life makes the day-to-day so much easier and enjoyable.
First, this gorgeous DeLonghi Magnifica Espresso Machine. It makes me two shots of espresso in the morning and in the afternoon for a nice iced treat. I love it and don’t think I’ll ever be able to enjoy coffee if this ever happens to break.
Second…my calendar and whiteboards… especially now with Jeremiah in school and fall season picking up for parties, blogging events, etc…I have to stay as organized as possible. I have multiple boards – this one shows my posts for the week here and at Arizona Foothills – then I have a calendar in the kids room, and a weekly calendar for the day to day in the kitchen. Overkill? Maybe, but I made the mistake of missing one appointment for an interview and it embarrassed me to NO END! Never again.
Third, and along the same lines as the calendar, there’s my notebook. This is my big one – I use it for weekly schedules of my articles, as well as what’s coming up. I also have a small notebook I keep in my purse that I jot ideas down on whenever inspiration may strike. I am one of those people that really, really like to physically write things down. Can you tell??
Fourth, we have my 32oz water bottle. This goes with me EVERYWHERE – it’s like my cell phone. I drink probably 4-5 of these a day. Living in Arizona, you can never really drink too much water – and I love this big bottle. The cap is starting to fall off, sadly, so I’ll have to replace it…eventually.
Fifth, call me shallow, call me vain – but I L-O-V-E bare minerals. Foundation, blush, eye shadow, mascara, eye liner…I’ve got it all. They love to see me walk through the door of the Bare Escentuals store at Scottsdale Fashion Square. I’m always in there for “one thing” but I seem to end up leaving with more than that. It is a weakness, I know. But I can’t help it – it makes my skin flawless through coverage and because it’s good for my skin. How can I not love it.
(Disclaimer – neither DeLonghi or Bare Escentuals gave me product for review, I just love them!)

I could never live in Arizona or anywhere down there as I HATE the taste of water.

Girl, what do you drinK???
Your espresso machine sounds divine! I wonder if I would become more addicted to coffee if I bought one. I should probably try drinking water out of a big bottle like that to make sure I do drink as much as I should.

I’ve been debating on whether I should try the bare minerals products. Do the powders make your face look fuzzy?

I think if you over apply, you can look powdery, which I’ve done before. But as long as you’re using a light hand when you pick up the product, you should be okay. I loooove it.
That espresso machine is a beauty!

P.S. Did you contact Amazon about your broke Kindle screen? My friend’s son broker her screen and they fixed it for her.

This is the second time it’s been broken – I guess I should try. I do miss it..I was in the middle of reading the Hunger Games for the third time!
OK, I’m with you on the coffee, calendar and note book!

Ohh what kind of parties?! I love parties!
And I am a “write things down” person too. I would be completely lost without my Blogging Planner.

I know, I need to jump on it and get one of those planners! I think it would help condense my 800 other notebooks. As far as parties – fall parties, holiday parties – parties to have parties
i am a bare minerals fan too!

I have to write stuff down too! If I don’t, it doesn’t get done!
PS: I didn’t even THINK about a disclaimer! LOL!

You are so good to keep up with your notebook. Lists are so important and I’ve gotten away from making them. Thank you for sharing!

I agree – I write lists and lists and lists!

That is a nice setup with the calendar and whiteboards all conveniently in one place. I have lists, but they are everywhere, not all together.
