Living here in Arizona, it’s impossible not to be surrounded by reminders to apply sunblock – even if you’re not going to the pool or playing outside.  The sun here is strong (visitors are often surprised by how quickly they get burned), and simply driving around running errands or doing anything in your daily life will expose you to the sun.   I personally have posted about my experience with skin cancer screenings and pre-cancerous moles that have been removed from my body.  These days, I don’t take any chances with my skin and keeping it protected and healthy.

I was given the opportunity to review Eucerin’s Daily Protection SPF 15 Moisturizing Body Lotion, and after trying loads of lotions and sunscreens separately, I was eager to try something that combined them.

With lotions, I usually look at several things – texture, smell, ‘soakability’ (how quickly it soaks into my skin) and how well it moisturizes.

First, texture.  This is a lightweight lotion – it spreads easily and isn’t super thick.  BUT, because it’s also sunscreen, it does have a thickness to it characteristic of sunscreen.  I like the texture of Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 15 and found that it wasn’t too watery like some lotions or too thick like some sunscreens.   It’s easy to put on right out of the shower to make sure I’m protected when I head out the door.

Next, smell – Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 15 is a sunscreen, so there’s a sunscreen odor to it.  It’s not strong, and it’s not unpleasant, it’s just…there.  It’s a smell that reminds me of summer and swim lessons – getting the kids (and myself) all covered in sunblock so we don’t burn in the Arizona sun, and I like that smell.

Soakability – this lotion soaks in so quickly and I love it! This makes it even easier to use because I don’t have try to rub it into my skin for several minutes and I’m able to get ready and running around with the kids just as quickly as I did before.

Moisture – Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 15 makes my skin feel soft and moisturized for hours!  I’m actually quite surprised at this, because it seems like such a light lotion, but it works really well.

I love that I this product does double duty as a lotion and a sunscreen – I know I’ve said it previously but it makes my life so much easier!  When you’re a busy mom, any time saved it precious, and I’m able to save so much time with this lotion.

I want you to try it out, too, and that’s why I’m excited to run this giveaway for your own bottle of Eucerin Daily Protection SPF 15!  Enter via the Rafflecopter form, below.

  10. I protect my skin with sunblock, but honestly I really try to stay out of the sun unless on vacation or yardwork. I just don’t lay out in the sun. I have seen how the sun can really damage one’s skin. My mom has laid out in the sun for years and now you can really tell as she has gotten older. I would love to try this lotion for those times I do have to be out in it and just to moisturize.
